Agreement to Terms

By accessing Paths.Design (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Site is a free library of design-education material: articles, career-path study guides, exercises, and book recommendations. It does not offer courses, enrollment, assessments, subscriptions, or any paid service.

Using the Site

You may read, learn from, and share what you find here within the limits of the content license described below. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site's publishing tools, accounts, or infrastructure

  • Disrupt or overload the Site, for example with aggressive automated scraping

  • Misrepresent authorship of the Site's content

Content and Intellectual Property

The educational content on the Site — articles, guides, and exercises — is licensed to readers under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). See the License page for what that permits and how to attribute it.

The Site itself — its design, layout, code, and brand — is owned by Paths.Design and is not part of the CC BY 4.0 grant. Book titles, cover images, and other publisher material referenced in the catalogue belong to their respective owners and appear as references, not as our content.

Some book links on the Site are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through one, Paths may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We link to books we consider worth recommending regardless of commission, but Amazon's prices, availability, and product information are theirs, and purchases are governed by your agreement with Amazon, not these Terms.

Educational Content Disclaimer

Everything on the Site is offered as general educational guidance. Study-time estimates are planning aids, not measured outcomes, and nothing here is a promise of hiring, promotion, salary change, or any specific career result. Career decisions are yours; verify anything consequential against primary sources and your own circumstances.

Articles and guides link to external websites we have found useful. We do not control those sites and a link is not an endorsement of everything on them. Their content, availability, and terms are their own.
